After that, those of us not searching for the pool went upstairs. I was rooming with Alem, which was really cool. After around fifteen minutes Snow, Luna and Norah returned and we all decided, with nothing else to do, to go to the pool. I was still a little concerned that Perry had yet to show up, but mainly I just ignored that and tried to have a good time. I floated on my back silently (one of the few times I could be silent) and happily looked forward to the weeks to come.

*i would’ve added to the story, but I had a busy week and it allowed no time for me to even quickly type up something. But Kayla is right! We shouldn’t let this thread die!*

The mood seemed light as we swum in the pool. In the back of my mind, I was worried about 2 things. The first problem I was pushing away was that of our leader’s disappearance without a word. Where was Perry? Second, what I heard on the news in the lobby. Our government was being threatened? What in the world did that mean? I calmed myself by thinking about how even if the government was threatened the problem would be solved. After all this was 21st century America!
