i agree completely and i think the teen writer's block support group is a good idea

i am trying to write a series actually but i don't plan on posting it anywhere, at least for while but i may write some short stories or something in the meantime

norah and i were (or still are, i'm not sure) going to do a co-write but i'm lazy and keep forgetting stuff and yeah...i hope we can get going on that though

Bingo! Except one of the reasons why us oldies don't post a lot is because KP took their bookstore down. I always wanted to publish my works, so because I can't now, I used other methods.

I really just visit KP now for the community, maybe to compose a few interviews, and mostly join the NES.

Without the bookstore, my works just sit there. So I wish the bookstore came back to really bring KP out of the dark ages.

Why? You can just write it here to gain community and critique and publish through something else.

I guess the bookstore was a draw tho

True, but then by the time I publish my book everyone would have already read it here. So I don't see how anyone would purchase.

If that makes sense ^^^

tbh I'd be far more likely to get a book if I'd read it on kp first. The author of 50 Shades of Gray used wattpad to gain popularity for her book before publishing it, and look how well that worked out.

But ALL of the book? Including the spoilers?
You'd be willing to buy a book even if you read the entire thing before on KP?

Interesting.

oh of course, you get to re-read all your favourite parts + it supports the author.

okay honestly my kidpub membership was the best $15 i ever spent.
i learned so much about writing and being a decent human from this website.
so thank you to everyone on here for helping me grow up and for nurturing my passion for writing. and thank you to perry for creating this website so kids like me could have a safe environment to share writing and talk about anything we want to, where all of us can truly just be ourselves. it's like a little online glee club or something lmao. anyway i just felt like ranting about how great kidpub is. and even though its smaller now than it was before, it's okay. kidpub has always been a family, it's just evolved over time. i've been here for almost six years and ive seen people who were once on here leave and people who joined after me leave too. ive seen people join that are still active today.
idk what im even saying anymore lmaooo
