Unhappy Choir Guilt

So I'm an alto in choir (the low girl part) but my mom says I can sing saprano, (the high girl part). I told my teacher this. She snorted and said, "You're not a saprano." I can hit a high 'g' which is over the top line of the bar. So during a concert, I sang my alto part but on one bar, I sang the saprano note (a 'g') just to prove my teacher wrong. Now I feel sorta bad. Should I tell her? What should I do?

So, you sang the wrong note to prove that you could, and your teacher didn't even notice?

I was just making sure I got it right... If you think you should tell her, then yeah, tell her, she probably won't be upset or anything, and honesty is the best policy, as Benjamin Franklin (I think...) said. Plus, she might apreciate your honesty, but even if she doesn't, you should be honest for your own sake.

But if she never noticed she'll be kinda 'umm...apology accepted...?' like that.

But no harm done, and if warriormosspelt thinks they should, then it'd be better that way.

I wouldn't tell her if I were you, just because she kinda dissed you. I mean, what teacher tells you that you aren't able to do something? That would almost be like if your math teacher told you "No way. You're not smart enough to add decimals" or something.

But, theoretically, let's say some people heard warriormosspelt sing the wrong note or something, and thought that it sounded bad. They'd probably blame the teacher more than warriormsspelt because they're the teacher and are supposed to have these things under control.

My band teacher thinks the same way, so if you play bad no going to concerts for that person.

What's wrong with being an alto?
I am an alto. But, I can't sing a high G... so...yeah. Also, I play viola, which is like the alto of altos, and I think it sounds beautiful.
