I can read books people consider boring - I've read many, actually. But then again, I consider some books boring other people love.

Yeah.....recently I tried reading the series again, but I only made it to about page 180 in the last book.

I have a problem with putting books down. I mean, I'll start a book and think like, "This is awful/boring/too adult for me" but I'll keep reading even if I think it's awful. That's why I finished Cirque du Freak, It, The Lorien Legacies...

Well, that's easy to do: my sister considers Harry Potter very boring. Everyone has different opinions.

The last book kind of does a number on you by the end and makes Lyra and Will fall totally in love, so much that basically the entire climax revolves around it. It was kind of weird, but given the theme of the books, nothing that you couldn't expect happening.

I find Harry Potter boring. My attention span is long enough for the Lord of the Rings, but too short for Harry Potter. How does that work?

I felt like it was... shallow. Like, the girl (whatever her name was) was just surprised as perfect skin, perfect blonde hair, perfect blue eyes and that was it, she was offically "the most beautiful girl I'd ever seen"... And his writing was so impersonal. I like flowery-ish writing, to be honest.

Well, it's an opinion. I've never read LOTR, but the reason I love Harry Potter is because she makes all of the wizard stuff seem NORMAL.

Like how during school they always have homework thrown at them--like a normal school--but you find yourself not being surprised that they're learning about goblin rebellions or something.
