Default Music/Band people

I hope there's not a similar thread already...
So, let's talk about music stuff! I play piano and flute but am considering the mellophone. Should I switch??

I replied to your post on the forum game, but basically the things you should think about are:
1. (not to think about, just a question) Do you own your flute, or do you rent it? Because if you own in then this should really be a problem, because you can just play both.
2. Since I'm assuming you're joining marching band, you should probably ask your band director which is more needed. If they need more flutes, stick with that, but if they're looking for brass players, try the mellophone.
3. (now stuff for you to think about if you are renting your flute and you haven't talked to your band director) Honestly, which do you enjoy more? Which do you feel you get more out of when you play it?
4. If playing the mellophone gets to hard, will you quit? (Think about this honestly.) Or is it worth it to learn a new instrument?

I feel like that's more suited for this thread
I think this thread is more for concert band/marching band and related instruments
(But don't quote me on this I'm just trying to help you out)

I'm playing the flute, which I own, during concert season. I get to rent the mello for free because it's only for marching. There are 23 flutes and 4 mellophones so I might be forced to switch, and I already talked to the director and he told me to try the mellophone or other brass later. Im also considering baritone.

I play the piano (level seven) and the tenor sax (only for school though– I rent it), but I'm learning the trumpet next year for an extra credit. I'm also taking guitar lessons soon yaay.

I used to play piano for about 3-4ish years.. never took it up again. I play guitar pretty well now. I am also a theatre geek. No shame here, peoples.

Actually.. I have a question for all you theatre people. So I am going to auditions for Peter Pan in a little less than a week. I have a song- Live out Loud from Little Princess. My voice teacher thinks that I should sing the beltier part because he thinks I would make a good Peter Pan. There is a lot of competition and I am pretty tall, so I think I would have a way better shot at Wendy. I don't really know what cut to use- the beginning part that I sing in my head voice rather then belting it, or the last part which I belt at the end... I want to show off my voice but I also want them to kind of "see me" as Wendy. What do you guys think?
