Same! I was actually thinking how cool it would be if there was a website where people could post writing, like YouTube but with writing, so I googled it and KP came up. I started freaking out and was like, "IT'S REAL! THEY HAVE WRITING SITES!" xD

Inigo Montoya: You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

It was on the back of this book I was reading and I just searched it up.

My dad found it on an article about writing and encouraged me to sign up. I literally was never a guest.

I found it while looking for fanfiction to read, and thought that it looked pretty cool. So I went back on KP a few weeks later, signed up, and then discovered WB about a week later.

(and then right after I signed up, my teacher at the time showed me KP and said I might like it. I hope she never found me. 0.0)

I looked up writing contests for kids, found the monthly writing contests, browsed a bit before convincing my mom to let me join. Then I basically sat on the computer the whole day.

My mom was searching writing contests for kids, or something like that, and she found kidpub, looked around a bit on it, the showed me. I really liked what I saw , but it wasn't until like a month later that I joined, because my parents thought it wasn't a safe site, not in the way of stalkers, in the way of getting viruses on our computer. But finally a friend of ours somehow checked it out, declared it safe, and I signed up. I was very impatient by then to join, needless to say.

I was looking for writing contests, read like 2 chapters of Spectrum (by Bingo, yeah) and immediately begged my parents to let me sign up.
