My dad is 2 years older than my mom. But, yes, age is just a number.
It's really unnerving to think about marrying someone 12 years younger than you NOW, but if you look at it later it's not really that big of a difference. 1-->13 or 30-->42. Same actual difference, but different ratios.

Today I was playing soccer at lunch and my crush was there, playing. And I was goalie, and blocked a lot of his shots and played defense on him a lot. It was really fun.

We called my friend's crush as a prank at school against her will, and we told him that she liked him. He said that he already knew, but he didn't say if someone told him or not.

Same here, I actually felt a deep connection to him and I didn't like him cause he was cute or hot, and i accepted him for who he was.

But it seems like he doesn't care about me anymore (we used to text daily.) Now I'm lucky if he texts me once a week, so a lot of times I start conversation and it's really short.

But his friend has my number and he texts me daily and really cares, asks questions, talks, listens but a lot of the time I give him a cold shoulder because I want to still like the other one.

In my book, this guy used to be in love with the protagonist's mother and now he's in love with her. When he was in love with the former, he was the same age as her. Now he's twenty years older than her daughter.
