Talking Weird things people do/have done

Inspired by my family being it's usual dysfunctional self.
What odd things have you seen people doing?
What sort of queer things have happened directly to you?
What strange things have you done yourself?
Post it all here!

Once upon a time last night, my sister and I had a sleepover. We stayed up until midnight o'clock and fell asleep in a pile of blankets on the floor. Now, to fully understand this story, you need to know two things.
One, that I occaisionally(..All the time*cough cough*) wake up when people come downstairs.(I sleep in the basement). As in, I could be freaking REMing but if anybody at all walks down those steps, I am awake. (Good luck with any midnight assasinations, ninja's)
Two, My closet was here / a wall was here \ and I was laying on my stomach with my face between them.
Okay, back to the story >>>>
Alright, so me and my sister were sleeping, and sometime around 4am, I'm having this freakish dream about smosh and orphans and just general what? When suddenly, I wake up. Now remember, it is four freaking in the morning, so I have absolutely zero knowledge of why I am currently awake, and for some forsaken reason, I twist my neck and body just enough that I can see my door, at the other side of the room. Low and behold, the door OPENS to reveal a person just standing there.
All I could think was "Shit, my knife is on my bedside table."
The door closes. The person leaves. I slowly turn back to face the wall and calmly go back to sleep.
Guess what I found out later that day? My dad was up and about in the wee hours and decided to take a stroll around the house.
THANKS SO MUCH, DAD.

Okay here's something weird that I'm thinking.

You know how the text-speak "lol" is supposed to stand for "laughing out loud"?

Well, because my friends and I (and probably everyone) has used it so much (and I'm not a text-speaker, I just use lol a lot), it kind of seems like it's morphed into its own word.

What I mean is when I write "lol" I don't think "laughing out loud". I think, Oh, this is funny, I'm going to say lol.

Know what I mean?

I don't know, like I said, I have a weird Train Of Thought.

There are a bunch of analog clocks in my room because I obsess over them, and sometimes my brain likes to remind me that when Clockwork comes to kill people, you hear her clock ticking. Then I lay there for eternity attempting to identify the different ticks and trying to figure out if there is an extra one or not.
