Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Guys have you seen this movie yet? I love it. So I thought hey, there's a cursed child thread, why can't there be a fantastic beasts? It's technically in the Harry Potter world so...
Anyway, this thread is for anything related to Fantastic beasts and where to find them.
Honestly, one of my favorite parts is that the main character is a Hufflepuff (finally!) and also just Newt Scamander in general because... Newt. Just Newt.
So yeah, discuss the beasts, nerd out about plot, or share your ships, I don't care. I just thought this movie deserved a thread.

as usual on tumblr there's a faction of haters, but I really enjoyed it. Sure, both the universe and JKR are flawed, but the movie kept me entertained and that's good enough for me.

Honestly I kind of liked it better than the Harry Potter movies though I haven't actually seen all of them so I don't know.

meh I was kinda underwhelmed and the story never really interested me, except for the orphanage subplot but that was kinda ignored. the relationship between Queenie and Jacob was cute tho.
the Harry Potter series is superior in my view but I'll definitely watch the next movies because I want to see what they do with Ilvemorny :>

I mostly still care about Harry Potter because of the world and nostalgia; the actual story and characters of the original series are, for the most part, kinda "meh" to me. TBH. It's still good and dear to me, of course. But my favorite part was always the world so it's nice to see a different part of it.
Yess that relationship was cute.

Hi. Newt Scmander is my religion now. I love his character so much and I think Eddie Redmayne is a fantastic actor. I found Harry potter itself to be pretty average and I never liked it much, but I'm so obsessed with this movie and there has to be a second one.
