Talking the meadow

(This is formatted a bit oddly, as it is just an extract from a "turn to page blegh to do this" book/ game thing I am writing. I am doing it on powerpont, so you click buttons... but I may turn it into a number one for kidpub. It is a story here... continue!!!! may it braak free and become super awesome!!!)

I sit up. The meadow sways slightly in the summer breeze. The sun is peaking over the wooded horizon, and glowing clouds drift across the burning sky. Birdsong greets my ears, at the start of a new day. I look around. I am in a meadow, surrounded by trees. I am a teenage boy, 13 at a guess. I have red-streaked hair, that covers the corners of your vision with it's black strands.

Default I hope this made you feel better, I'm continuing this.

In the distance something snapped. A tree maybe. I should go check it out. I focused my eyed on the thick, green forest that surronded the meadow in all directoins. An upleasing sight met my lively brown eyes. An animal, (possibly, it was quite hard to tell from here) Stirred and moaned in pain. I broke off in a run. My black converses padded the dry earth as I made my way into the forest. . . .

Random Person: So Tom, what is it that you do?

Tom: I uh, I write greeting cards.

Summer: Tom could be a really great architect if he wanted to be.

Partygoer: That's unusual, I mean, what made you go from one to the other?

Tom: I guess I just figured, why make something disposable like a building when you can make something that last forever, like a greeting card?

the moans are getting louder, and closer. I push through ferns and leap over logs, and i know that i am close. All of the sudden, the moaning is gone and there is no sound at all, and not even the wind is rustling.
though nothing has happened, the forest around me feels tense, like when you can see the foot coming down on the balloon and are waiting for the loud pop.
and then the ground beneath my feet shuddered violently, tossing me to the ground.

I looked up. My mouth couldn't keep up with my mind. All I did was whimper.

Default Continued...

Shaking my head to clear it, I took deep, steadying breaths that made my chest hurt. Shivering slightly, I looked up, pain clouding my gaze.
