I agree with all of you. Stephanie Meyer didn't get too involved in her idea and, in return, it didn't get readers too involved in it. I just couldn't picture Bella, or Jacob, or Edward, ever being human. Even Bella, who, for the most part, IS human. They just seemed so. . . half-evolved. Like the apeish, birdish creatures who evolved into us.
