Yes, of course in the movies, but Gabi was chiding her for not smiling in interviews.

Oh, I'm fine with that then. Not smiling in interviews is perfectly fine. If you don't want to smile, don't. It's quite simple.

No, actually not... she wasn't so much saying "I won't smile on cue" as, "I don't smile because it feels cliche and thus AVOID actually smiling". It disturbed me. And I read the interview because it was my only reading material and seemed interesting.

I guess we interpret it differently.

Twilight could have been great, had Stephenie Meyer not written like she was a five year old trying to use "new, big words". Also, yes, Kristin Stewart has a point saying that it feels fake to smile when you don't mean it, but she's an ACTRESS, and it's her job to ACT, and she also always has her mouth hanging open like a zombie.
Anyway, Twilight's protagonist Bella is whiny. Okay? She whines about her skin, her hair, her parents (I think she calls them dumb at one point), and how all the boys chase her, like that stupid Mike Newton or whatever his name is. Also, the message is dumb. It's like telling girls, "Be insecure and depend upon your man to do everything for you!"
Also, anyone notice how it's mainly about a 109 year old guy stalking and making out with an 18 year old girl?

Yeah, Bella is whiny. And Harry Potter is emotional and self-centered. I'm not saying I don't like Harry Potter, but protagonists often are pains.

And, well, if you've read eighty percent of romances, they're all about girls who have crushes on cute guys. It's not a new thing.

It's funny how real-life romances like that never work out. They forget each each other's faces and names entirely once they're twenty.

Harry Potter was a bit of a brat in the first couple books, but he grew out of it towards the end. And I think I'd be emotional too if half the people I knew were killed. xD

Agreed. I hate when people are like 'HP is so annoying and bratty.'
Well, he was. But let's watch you while your parents, stepfather, friends, teachers, and pets get killed pretty much because of you. >.<

Haha, yup. But that's why romances are fun. They're unrealistic.

XD Yeah. But even near the end, he's all, "LA DE DUM AAAAI SHALL BE ZE HERO!"

It's the one thing about him that drives me nuts. :P
