Default Anyone ever depressed???

I guess I should put this under dreams because daydreaming.... but anyone ever gotten depressed because you read a REALLY good book and you REALLY want to be in it, and then you reflect on your life and its not anything compared to the characters life. Like action, romance...etc, and then you daydream about being them but think its nothing like the real thing? (talk about run on sentance....) Its depressing isn't it....

Just had to start a thread on this....

That's really weird... the last time I did that was when I was six.

I wish I could be in my own book: Dreamland. I made it up and the character Tourmaline is based off of me. I wish...

Aye, we are nothing. We are insignificant creatures, infinitesimally so, just ants crawling about, our livs mere seconds in the years of the universe. That is a slightly depressing fact, but also slightly calming, as you know that your life means nothing, therefore you can enjoy yourself without worrying about saving the world and all that jazz.

Wonderful philosophy.

I've seen reflections of this belief in all your posts. The theory: Because you will eventually melt into the dust, if you're mean and inconsiderate, you're not going to get in trouble if you do it discreetly. Therefore, be mean! Be inconsiderate! Who cares?

Really? Will that get you personal satisfaction?

No, I don't believe that way, but you seem to. Do you?
