Ha ha ha no. Far from it. Stephen King is a mastermind of horror, one of the greatest horror writers this century has seen since Edgar Allen Poe. Christine was a possessed car. The character's best friend fell in love with her, and then strange things started happening. Christine could, quite literally come to life. She killed all that opposed her, at least tried. I think she even killed her original owner, though he was behind the killings, as a ghost.
Cujo was a sweet st. bernard. However, he became rabid, trapped a woman and her child in a car for a couple of days and then because of that, eventually killed the people that tried to help them, only to die from the woman who killed him with a baseball bat, but the dog had killed her child...Tad.
