Sort of like the other peoples suggestions, I suggest writing a list of positive things about yourself on your arm and if you ever think badly of your life or anything, look at your arm. Also, let other people in, and let your close friends and family know how you feel. I hope this helped!

All the advice I got is "get through it without dying, being wounded, or injuring yourself because it will eventually get better". Just get through it and it will go away on its own, which is how I dealt with it. :3
