#RESIST

Hi, everyone. I don't normally share my political feelings here on KidPub, but these are extraordinary times.
The President of the United States, Donald Trump, is promoting policies of mistrust, intolerance, and hate. Personally, I am both ashamed and angry for my country. Trump's vision of America is not mine, nor that of those I trust and admire. I will resist these abhorrent policies with every breath that I have.
KidPub is a safe haven of ideas; it doesn't matter where you are from, what color your skin is, or what religion (if any) you adhere to. We embrace conversation, even when we don't agree. I promise all of you that KidPub will never discriminate against anyone that believes that the free exchange of ideas is the cornerstone of our society.
I encourage you to talk with your friends, your classmates, your teachers, and your parents about what is happening right now. Write about how you feel here on KidPub if that helps. This is not how we want to live. This is not what America stands for. The freedoms that we fought so hard for are too important to let one person erase them with the stroke of a pen.
