A fire is burning

Embers yearning to escape

One nicks her skin

the nicotine is forgotten

flower’s decay and icy crystals take their place

A tingle, a chorus of bells in ringing loud throughout her heart

The smell of almonds and mint leaves greets the air swiftly

The room is full of nostalgic lull

a song is heard through silent spoken words

pine needles litter the carpeted halls

A feeling of warmth envelopes the walls

The frost that cakes the windows leaves just enough room to see the falling snow
