the cycle.

am i the only one to find is funny as to how things fall apart?
take this place, for example.
it was amazing
stories, ideas, prompts, people, friends
but then, something incredible happened.
those people grew up.
people branched apart, stories became dated.
few were left.
and it's a cycle.
we are the people, the friends.
we are making stories
we are making memories
we are making friends
we are making fun.
but time is passing.
we are growing.
learning yet branching away
away from the trunk of old stories
away from the roots of childhood
and away from the seed of art
this place
this lovely, amazing place
grows desolate every day.
but i have grown.
i have grown enough to say im glad that i was wrapped up in this cycle.
i am grown enough to say that i have, and am still, learning.
i am grown enough to say that im grateful
i cherrish the memories ive made
and i always will
when this cycle ends, i will feel a great sorrow.
a sorrow for all the forlorn characters
a sorrow for all the forgotten authors
and sorrow for what it could've been.
i will mourn
but i will remember
and i will be thankful.
will you?

this is gorgeous. there are so many talented, stellar, amazing authors here.
maria's poems are a new ball game, but that doesn't mean that I don't appreciate them. they're different from others, and they're original, and they're really great to read.
connor's poems are a perfect mix of thoughts and conversation and rhythm and rhyme. they get me thinking about different aspects of life, and how much i should appreciate them.
as for you? i love, love, love your poems. they're art, like everyone else's poems here. they make me feel protected, but also at the same time, in danger. this isn't a bad thing.
we are the new era of poets in kidpub. we will grow up with poems and stories and appreciate them when we grow up.

Amen to that.
Don't worry. It's okay. You're alive, I'm alive, and life is good. And remember, have a good day!
