Grieve

As the air goes thick

And the storm rages on

You'd feel so sick

The only one

Can't you feel?

Can't you know?

To grieve is a pain

Not easily gone

To share, to listen

Is our only song

And yet that song

Is not easily sung

For one won't sing it

The harmony's gone

Another won't listen

Sung the wrong notes

Or will not feel

The feelings involved

Some sing and listen

And yet out it comes

The truth of it all

They've hidden from us

"Truth is, I want to sing. And I want to listen,"

"But who will do the same for me?"

"Will they sing my song? Listen to me?"

The answer cannot be found amongst us

Except for that one, one little one

With glittering eyes

And the widest smile

They hold your hand, safe and warm

Drag you out towards your home

Away from the storm
