in the stars

May 30th, 2017

And by some minute shift in weather or in thought,

a delicate balance is overturned and the tide changes.

Can you find

the hidden meanings

in my words,

the multiplicities,

the second natures?

Can you see the whole

and the unequal parts?

Can you

see the whole

as separate from the parts?

And can you see the parts as separate

from the whole?

Can you see how

the parts compose the whole

but when assembled

barely resemble it?

Can you see the parts as both parts and wholes?

Do you feel sad this morning?

Does the mirror seem too full of dust?

Those final lines though.

Those final lines though. This is a very peaceful, kind of melancholy poem.  I'm faving this because I haven't seen poetry like this in a while.
