He wouldn't let go of him. Not for anything.
He grabbed his arm with both hands, and beat against the cold, hard wind to try and stay in place a little longer. He wouldn't ever let go. Both of their lives depended on it.
"Hold... on!!!" he shouted, gripping his arm tighter while the wind picked up speed.
"I'm trying to!" the other replied, trying desperately to hold on.
Pulling him towards himself, he found a foothold and kept his foot there, while making sure it was steady, then set both his feet there. Flapping his wings harder against the now faster wind, he tried ever so hard not to be blown away.
