I never have time to write anymore so I've decided to use my spare moments to jot stuff down. Feedback is welcome and encouraged, feel free to tear this stuff apart.

I wrote this after bombing a test for US History Honors. Cheers

My mom used to tell me that I could wish on train tracks

I had never heard of that before

I wondered if train tracks were as reliable as shooting stars

They were less romantic

But they were certainly easier to come by

Ma said that all you needed to do was lift your legs off the ground the moment the car rumbled over the tracks and whisper your wish as the car bounced

I wished that I would be whisked away to Neverland by Peter Pan himself

It’s been years since the day I realized that people couldn’t fly

I still haven’t been able to kick the habit of lifting my feet off the floor of the car

And saying a silent prayer whenever I see tracks

My wish is still the same but I think I’m more earnest than before
