i'm waiting for the day the world's patience with me wears thin

the day your concern and care turns into disgust

and for the darkness to envelope me and cast me away

i'm waiting for you to confirm my deepest fears

and validate all the reasons i hate myself

and waiting for the world to abandon me

and for the revelation to shake me to my bones

i'm waiting for the last light to fade from your eyes

and my last hope to vanish from my heart

i'm waiting for someone to come along and tear me apart

so i can refrain from doing it myself

i'm waiting for my world to fall down around me

and for you to leave me

so i can leave this world without the guilt of not saying goodbye

to you, my salvation

and the one good thing i hold on to.
